Ardmore, OK to Rapid City, SD to Storden, MN to Ardmore, OK May 2007
I took a trip to Rapid City, SD to visit my Mother and Father on Mother's Day 2007. Along the way, I saw some great sites and hopefully these pictures will show just a bit of the trip. On Sunday, my father took my Mom and me to have breakfast at the base of Mount Rushmore. It was a wonderful day as you can see. I then toured the Black Hills on Monday when the weather was not the best. Rain and Haze!! I went to the Needles Highway and saw the Eye of the Needle. I also stopped by Sylvan Lake and then saw some wildlife on the back side of Mt. Rushmore. After leaving Rapid City, I went to my sister Connie's house near Storden, MN. We had a lovely 1 1/2 days visit. My sister Candy also came over and spent the morning with us. On Thursday evening, I went to a "Sons of Norway" dinner with Connie and Norm. I left on Friday morning going back to Oklahoma. On the way, I stopped at the "Squaw Creek Wildlife Preserve" in NW Missouri. I was able to get several pictures of a pair of eagles on the nest with little chicks. The last two pictures were the best.
